Questions, answered

Everything parents and grandparents ask before they order.

The basics

What exactly is KidBits, and what do I get?

KidBits is a real, playable video game starring your child. You pick one of three games, describe your child and up to three people they love, and we build it and email you a private link within 72 hours.

It plays in any web browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install, no account for your child, and no subscription. It is a keepsake they can still play years from now, not a toy that ends up in a drawer.

Can I see what the games actually look like before I buy?

Yes. Every game has its own page with video from a real delivered game, screenshots straight off the screen, and the full list of everything you can change. Start with all three games, or go straight to Adventure, Kart Racing or Battle.

None of it is a mockup. The clips are screen recordings of games we have already built and sent to families.

Is this a good gift for the kid who already has everything?

That is precisely who it is made for. You cannot buy this in a store and there is no second one like it anywhere. It has your child's name, their face, and the people they actually love in it.

The moment it opens is the point. Their face says it all. And unlike a toy, it does not get outgrown, lost or donated. It stays playable, and it is theirs to keep permanently. Parents buy it for birthdays and holidays; grandparents buy it when they want to give something that gets remembered.

Which of the three games should I choose?

Pick by the kind of play your child already enjoys.

  • KidBits Kart Racing is the easiest to pick up and the most fun with a room full of people. Twelve tracks across three cups, with the whole cast on the grid.
  • KidBits Battle suits kids who like head to head competition. Eight stages, combos, specials, and two limit breaks for every fighter.
  • KidBits Adventure is the biggest of the three. A story with seven places to explore, elements, limit breaks and boss battles, where your child leads the party.

All three star the same cast you build, so the choice is about play style, not about who is in it. Each game's own page lists everything you can change.

Ordering and price

How much does a KidBits game cost?

There are three prices, one per game: KidBits Battle is $29.99, KidBits Kart Racing is $36.99, and KidBits Adventure is $44.99.

That is a one-time payment in US dollars. Nothing is mailed to you, so there is no shipping charge, and there is no subscription or any recurring cost of any kind. The only optional extra is $10 rush delivery. Prices exclude any applicable sales tax, and we currently sell only to customers in the United States.

If a sale is running you will see the sale price on the site without needing a code. The price on the checkout button and the price on the Stripe payment page always agree, and that is what you pay.

What do you need from me, and how long does it take to order?

A few minutes and a handful of choices. For each character you give us a first name and then pick from fixed lists: gender, age stage, skin tone, hair style, hair color, eye color, and the item they carry. You also give the game its title.

There is nothing to write, nothing to upload, and no photo required. You can save your progress and come back to finish later. Because the option lists are fixed, what you see on the order page is exactly what exists, with no surprises after you pay. Every option is written out in full on each game's page if you would rather look before you start.

Can I put siblings, friends and grandparents in the game too?

Yes. You build a cast of up to four characters: your child as the lead, plus up to three companions. Those companions can be siblings, parents, grandparents, cousins, friends, anyone.

This is the part that makes people react. It is not a generic character with your kid's name pasted on. It is their actual family and friends in the game with them. If you leave slots empty, we fill them from the game's own supporting cast.

Delivery and timing

How fast will I get the game?

Within 72 hours, and usually sooner. Building starts automatically about a minute after you pay, a person reviews the finished game before it goes anywhere, and then a private link lands in your inbox.

You get a confirmation email immediately, so you know the order is in while the game is being built.

I need it for a birthday in two days. Can you do that?

Yes. Add rush delivery for $10 at checkout and we target 24 hours instead of 72.

That clock starts the moment your payment succeeds. It does not wait for the next business day and it does not pause overnight or at weekends. If we miss 24 hours we refund the $10 automatically, without you having to ask, and your game is still built, reviewed and delivered exactly as normal.

If you do not see the rush option at checkout, it means we are not in a position to promise 24 hours at that moment. We would rather show you nothing than sell you a deadline we are going to miss.

Playing, keeping and sharing

Do we have to download or install anything? Will it work on our devices?

Nothing to install. The game opens from a private link and plays right in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is no app store, no download required, no account for your child, and no subscription.

It is tested on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, so an iPhone, iPad, Android tablet, Mac, PC or Chromebook will all run it. Very old software or a device with unusual restrictions may not, and if it will not run for you, that is covered by our refund policy.

You can also add it to a phone or tablet home screen, where it sits alongside their other games with their own name under the icon.

Do we really own it forever? What happens if KidBits goes away?

Yes, and this is the part we protect hardest. Your game is a single self-contained file. Save it to your device and it plays offline, permanently, with no account, no internet, no subscription and no company required.

We also keep your game on our systems for three years from delivery and will re-send your link any time in that window if you lose it. But the saved copy is the real guarantee: it does not expire, it cannot be switched off remotely, and it does not depend on us still being here. We will never alter or withdraw a game we have already delivered to you.

That is what makes it a keepsake rather than a rental.

Can I share it with family, or give it to someone as a gift?

Both, yes. You can send the link or the file to family and friends, play it at a birthday party, show it in a classroom, or post a video of your kid playing it. If you bought it as a gift, you can hand the whole thing over. The game is theirs.

Passing it along is as easy as forwarding an email or copying one file. The only limits are commercial: you cannot sell it, rent it, charge for access, or republish it as your own.

If something is not right

We misspelled a name or picked the wrong hair color. Can you fix it?

Yes, free, and we would rather you told us. Email support@playkidbits.com within 7 days of getting your link and we will rebuild it with the correct details.

There is no charge and no limit on reasonable corrections. A typo is a five minute fix on our end, and we would much rather have a happy customer than a refunded one.

What is your refund policy?

Before we send your link: a full refund, for any reason, no questions. Just email support@playkidbits.com.

After we send your link: email us within 7 days if the game does not load, does not match what you ordered, or something in it is broken. We will normally offer to rebuild it first, because that usually gets you what you actually wanted. If you would rather have your money back, say so and we will refund you. We will not make you accept a rebuild.

Refunds go back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days. The full policy, including the rush-fee exception, is in section 6 of our Terms.

Is my child's information safe?

Yes, and we hold a hard line on it. Your child's first name and appearance choices are used to build your game and for nothing else. They are never sold, and never sent to any marketing or advertising platform. That is absolute.

Children never create accounts, never fill in forms, and cannot buy from us. We sell to adults only, and you confirm at checkout that you are the parent or guardian, or have their permission. We never use a child's name or likeness in our own marketing without asking a parent first, separately.

Automatic capture of clicks and typing is switched off, we never record your screen, and nothing about a child is ever sent to our analytics. We send a short, fixed list of events we chose by hand, carrying only counts and simple flags. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Still stuck?

Email support@playkidbits.com and a person will answer. Order questions, corrections and refunds all go to that address. For anything about data or privacy, write to privacy@playkidbits.com.
